Netmail Secure

Synopsis

  • Sending a quarantine report to a specific user.
  • Sending out the quarantine report to all the users.
  • A user did not receive a quarantine report.
  • Applying a license to update the user count.

Solution

There are several ways to manually send out a quarantine report to a specific user or to the whole domain:

Option 1.

Sending the quarantine report to a specific user.

  • Log in to the Web Administration console and login using the netmail user credentials.
  • Navigate to Domains > Select the preferred Domain . Select the Users tab on the right pane.
  • Type the user name and click the Search button. Select the user and click Edit to access the user's properties.
  • Select the Policies tab.
  • Click on Send Quarantine Report.


Option 2.

Sending the Quarantine report to ALL users.

  • Log in to the Web Administration console and login using the netmail user credentials.
  • Navigate to Domains > Select the preferred Domain . Select the Policies tab on the right pane.
  • Click on Send Quarantine Report to send the reports to ALL the users.

 

 

Option 3.

    • Log in to Putty using the netmail user credentials.

    • Switch to root by typing the following command:  sudo su and press <Enter>

 

    • Change to the following directory by typing: cd /opt/ma/netmail/sbin/ and press <Enter>

 

    • Sending the quarantine report to a specific user from the Command Line: ./mquarantine -nav* -u=user@yourdomain.com

 

    • Sending the quarantine report to a specific Domain from the Command Line: ./mquarantine -nav* -u=yourdomain.com

 

    • Sending the quarantine report to ANY Domain served by Netmail Secure: ./mquarantine -nav

 

All mquarantine reports will show in Netmail Message Tracking. Search using the Host filter and TCP/IP address: 127.0.0.1
